GLA Global Logistics Alliance welcomed Sushanth Suseendran, general manager of Dubai-based Hawia Shipping Services LLC, to its Shenzhen headquarters on Sept. 17, underscoring closer cooperation between the two sides as they prepare for the 13th GLA Global Logistics (Thailand) Conference in November.
Suseendran, visiting China for the first time, said GLA’s headquarters was his top stop on the trip. He has taken part in multiple GLA-run industry events since joining the network, which he said boosted Hawia’s international profile and supported business development and revenue growth. The concrete benefits reinforced his decision to travel to Shenzhen and meet GLA President Ms. Grace Sun, he said.
The GLA head welcomed the visit and outlined potential areas for expanded cooperation. She said the meeting should serve as a springboard for deeper and long-term collaboration over the next five to ten years across multiple fields. She added that GLA will continue to provide customized support for active members, working together to drive high-quality industry growth.
Hawia became a GLA Golden Member in August 2024 and has since maintained a high level of engagement. The company has been active across GLA events and has played a role in facilitating collaboration among member firms, becoming a trusted partner within the network.
HAWIA set up booths and sent representatives to GLA's Thailand conference in November 2024 and its Dubai conference in May 2025. At the Dubai event, Hawia was voted "Best Partner" for the Middle East, reflecting the company's regional influence.
In June 2025, Hawia co-exhibited with GLA at the Transport Logistic 2025 in Munich, during which the company referred more than 10 agencies to the alliance, expanding GLA's global network.
Looking ahead, Hawia plans to exhibit again and sponsor a football tournament at the upcoming 13th GLA Global Logistics Conference, scheduled for Nov. 7–10 in Bangkok, Thailand.
GLA believes sports are more than competition; they are a catalyst for cultural exchange and collaboration. On the field, teamwork and rivalry alike help break down barriers among industry peers from different culture backgrounds, fostering trust and friendship. This “sports + networking” model has become a hallmark of GLA conferences, adding a human touch to the global logistics industry.
In partnership with Hawia Shipping Services LLC and other members, GLA will host three sports events—soccer, badminton and golf—to continue the tradition of building trust and cooperation through sport.
We welcome logistics companies, industry partners and institutional representatives worldwide to attend, compete and network at our Thailand conference. Interested parties can contact us for the agenda, participation guidelines and sponsorship opportunities.
See you in Bangkok this November!
