Recently, COSCO Shipping Company released a tripartite cooperation agreement, the object of which is the United Nations Food Aid Service and the World Food Program.

The agreement indicates that COSCO Shipping will provide discount services when providing aid to the two of them. At the same time, the two of them will also ensure sufficient containers for smooth transportation of COSCO Shipping.

Not long ago, Henrik Hansen, Global Supply Chain Officer of the World Food Program, visited the office of COSCO Italy in Genoa.

At that time, the two organizations discussed the issue of cooperation in supply chain services and finally determined that the agreement would be signed at the end of May.

The World Food Program, headquartered in Rome, is recognized as the world's largest humanitarian agency.

Its main function is to provide global food, disaster relief, epidemic prevention and other aid materials to the United Nations, and provide assistance to more than 80 countries and 90 million people in Eastern Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia and South America.

Since its assistance is humanitarian, the United Nations has higher requirements for containers and delivery dates.

In fact, COSCO Group started deployment with the World Food Program last year and appointed Italian COSCO to set up a dedicated marketing team for them.

It said that Italy was in trouble from March to May last year due to the epidemic. Fortunately, their tripartite cooperation successfully helped Italy tide over the difficulties.
