On February 7, 2025 – In a significant diplomatic and business engagement in Shenzhen, GLA President Ms. Grace Sun attended an exchange meeting with Mr. Damirbek Bikulov Janturaevich, Deputy Director of National Investment Agency (NAI). The meeting focused on enhancing investment cooperation and took place during the state visit of Kyrgyzstan President Mr. Sadyr Japarov’s state visit to Beijing, which aims to fortify the friendly relations between China and Kyrgyzstan.

Fostering Mutually Beneficial Cooperation

The gathering, led by Mr. Damirbek Bikulov Janturaevich, Deputy Director of the National Investment Agency (NAI), was an opportunity for a diverse delegation to engage in extensive dialogue with representatives from various enterprises. Their goal was to explore opportunities for investment and cooperation in the logistics, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and technology sectors. During the meeting, Mr. Janturaevich emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to creating a favorable investment environment through a series of reform initiatives. These reforms include significant tax reductions, such as corporate income tax, personal income tax, value-added tax, etc., designed to attract foreign investment, particularly in logistics, new energy, and agriculture.

In her address, Ms. Grace Sun expressed a warm welcome to the Kyrgyz delegation and extended her gratitude to Mr. Chyngyz Sherniiazov, Chairman of the China-Eurasia Business Council, for the invitation. Ms. Sun highlighted the crucial role logistics plays in connecting economies globally and underscored its importance within China’s Belt and Road Initiative. She further emphasized the role of cross-border logistics infrastructure projects, such as the China-Japan-Ukraine railroad, in optimizing global supply chains, enhancing trade opportunities, and linking Chinese enterprises to Central Asia.

Discussions at the conference centered around strengthening cooperation in transportation infrastructure, energy collaboration, and scientific innovation.
