Time:2022-11-09 Publisher:Kevin Num:3501
Compared with the initial stage of the epidemic, the congestion of major ports in the world has been significantly alleviated. However, the time when ships arrived at the port was still higher than that before the epidemic.
Recently, Sea Intelligence investigated the arrival of ships in the five most important container transport regions (Asia, North America's east and west coasts, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean).
The results show that among the largest ports in Asia, the west coast of North America, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean, the average delay time of ships reaches its peak in early 2022, and has been declining since then.
In contrast, ports on the east coast of North America seem to be getting worse. The main reason may be the gradual transfer of goods from the west coast to the east coast.
Data shows that the average delay time of the Asia US West Coast route in early 2022 is 17.73 days. After that, the delay was reduced.
According to the data of Sea Intelligence, compared with ports in Europe and Asia, the average delay time of ports in North America is the longest. At present, the average delay time of ships in Asia is about 7 days.
In Northern Europe, there are great differences between ports. Compared with 2019, the arrival time of ships at Bremerhaven Port is only one day later than planned, while the average delay time of other ports is 2.77 days.
On the other hand, Hamburg Port is the worst, with an average ship delay of 8-9 days.
In general, although the congestion level of major ports in the world is still higher than that before the epidemic, most ports will not be so congested in 2022.
GLA hereby reminds the freight forwarders to pay attention to the latest port logistics situation in time to avoid unnecessary losses caused by delayed delivery of goods.
